Hurling & Camogie:

Hurling is an enormous part of St. Paul's Community College. We is a proud hurling school which boast many young and up and coming future stars. We in the school work with our feeder clubs to work, practice and develop all our students skills. St. Paul's, is extremely lucky to have many past pupils not only represent their clubs on a national stage but also their county. We are exceptionally proud of them and their commitments.

Hurling has always been a keystone within the Lisduggan community, it brings together so many talented and hard working individuals from various clubs and gives them an opportunity to hurl at a very high standard. We play in both Waterford County competitions and in our Munster Provisional competitions. This affords our hurlers the chance to play against some of the top hurling schools in Munster and test their skills.

We are very fortunate, within our school to have some top hurling/camogie coaches, such as Stephen Roche, Philip Murphy, Eoin Kenny, Niamh Ahern, John Ryan. All these coaches have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

In St. Paul's we have a rich history of developing pupils and competing in local and national competitions. Many past pupils have had success locally, nationally and internationally. We in St. Paul's are continuing this tradition by competing in many competitions at varied age groups. We compete in 11 aside and Futsal competitions. In 2018 we were the first school to ever win both boys and girls Futsal concurrently in Waterford.

Basketball has been played in our school for many years and has become extremely popular among all students’.

Our school enters the following teams into the Southeast League each year for both boys and girls; 1st year, 2nd year, U16 and U19. We have been very successfully over the past number of years, with both the boys U16 and girls U19 both winning the Munster finals in their divisions in November 2018. The U16 girls then went on to win the All-Ireland final in February 2019.
