The Parents Council |
St Paul’s Parents Council is a group of parents who meet regularly at St. Paul’s C.C., to assist with various programmes and suggestions that may improve the running of the School. They have been working for some time on the introduction of the successful Book Rental Scheme on a phased basis. There has been a recent appeal from the Parent’s Council for some extra volunteer parents that could spare a few hours per week in May, June and July with the covering of the books. The Book Rental Scheme has saved parents a huge amount of money in book purchases, especially when they have a number of children attending St. Paul’s. Please contact Lynda O Shea at St. Paul’s if you would like to help out with this venture. There is great comradeship between all members of the Parent’s Council, lots of work is achieved while having a chat and fun along the way!
Any suggestions welcome to any member of the Parent’s Council at any time.

Parents Council AGM
The Parents Council AGM was held on the night of Monday October 19th 2009 at 7.30pm in the school library. After a brief welcome and registration Lynda O'Shea, Chairperson, gave a very comprehensive report to the meeting. This was followed by Mrs Curran's Principal's Report where she briefly outlined the many new and exciting developments happening in the school. Josephine Cregan, Secretary then gave her report to the meeting which was warmly received.The meeting concluded and will meet again on Monday night November 9th at 7.30pm to elect new members and officers. ALL PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
Meanwhile an information meeting for the parents of classes 1P and 1S takes place in the school library on Wednesday morning October 22nd at 10.00am.

Long and intensive work has gone in all through the Summer months and most of September so far.All the work has been carried out on a voluntary basis by the members of the Parents Council. School management, staff and students applaude their great effort and dedicated work. Well done and thanks.
Notice of the next Parents Council meeting will be posted here soon and the AGM will take place next month. In the meantime we would love to hear from parents who may have an hour or two per week/month to spare to give a hand out on the Council next year.The work is very rewarding and parents have the opportunity to play a greater part in promoting their child's school and education.
