Science Week was a great success in St Pauls this year. Our students got the opportunity to attend and participate in a number of exciting workshops in WIT. These included an interactive “Dynamic DNA” workshop by Kris Kramer from the University of Leicester which our 5th year students really enjoyed. On Wednesday we had our annual visit from The Reptile Zoo. Students were excited to see and learn about a variety of interesting reptiles including a Burmese Snake, a Black and White Tegu, a Tarantula and Tortoise to name a few. Students learned about where these animals live, their diets, their adaptations and how they survive in the wild. Our first and second year students were busy in the weeks leading up to Science week working on a whole variety of projects and learning important research and presentation skills. Their work was displayed in the library at our “Scifest@School and students were presented with certificates of participation.
