St. Paul’s had a busy schedule of events for students, teachers and parents leading up to Christmas. Pictures below include our Students Council who managed to raise over €800 for the Philippines following the tragedy there. Our SNA’s took an icy plunge on December 6th to raise funds for the Special Olympics. The student mini-company had a stall set out at Winterval as part of their business project in school. A group of our parents completed the Cooking IT programme and were awarded certificates on completion and Shane O’Sullivan, intercounty hurler, visited our school to give our students some advice and training in GAA skills. He is pictured with the group who took part on the day. Our Chess Club travelled to St Paul’s BNS for a Chess Challenge and enjoyed the morning there taking on the pupils from sixth class. A new laptop computer initiative was launched in the school and training took place in our school library. Pictured are some of our students using the laptops. Pictured also in our library are the School’s Business Partnership Skills at Work Evaluation Team who made a recent visit and are pictured (standing) Ms. Carol Chapman, Mr. Paul Fleming, Mr. John Gallagher (Deputy Principal) and Louise Casey. Seated front row: Ms. Eithne Ruane, Ms. Agnes Dayton, Ms. Noreen Reilly (Principal). This meeting took place to promote The Skills at Work Programme in St. Paul’s Community College.
