Minister of State Mr John Halligan was welcomed to St. Paul’s Community College today Friday 16th March to mark the 170th Anniversary of the first raising of the Tricolour in Ireland. Coincidentally it was raised for the first time at 33 The Mall Waterford City 170 years ago. Minister Halligan was welcomed to the school by Ms Reilly, Principal, and the Student Council afforded a Guard of Honour on his arrival. The Minister also took part in celebrations to mark the end of Autism Week in the school and donned the white tee-shirt for photographs bearing the Autism logo designed by our very talented first year student Nuria.
Below are pictures taken outside the school and in our school library involving Minister Halligan raising the tricolour and taking part in the Autism celebration which marked the end of autism week in the school.
